Beecher Carlson names national cyber practice executive

Beecher Carlson Insurance Services LLC has named Oren Wortman managing director of its national cyber practice, the brokerage said in a statement Wednesday.

Mr. Wortman will help clients and brokers to identify and quantify cyber risks, such as susceptibility to ransomware, data privacy breaches, and cyber-related business interruption, the statement said.

He will work out of Beecher Carlson’s New York office and report to John Kerns, executive managing director, the statement said.

Mr. Wortman was most recently director, cyber operations North America, at South African cyber technology consulting firm Sygnia Group.
