Skyward Specialty appoints construction executive

Skyward Specialty Insurance Group Inc. said Tuesday it has named Rick Childs to the newly created position of senior vice president, construction.

Mr. Childs, based in Orlando, Florida, was previously vice president of middle-market underwriting, construction at CNA Financial Corp., where he was responsible for providing underwriting oversight and strategic direction for its middle-market construction segment.

Houston-based Skyward said last month it had changed its name from Houston International Insurance Group.
