New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo on Friday vetoed a bill that would have made massage therapy compensable under workers compensation.

S.B. 5421, which passed the New York Senate in February and the Assembly in July, would have amended the state’s workers compensation law to compensate licensed massage therapists for massage treatments provided to injured workers that were prescribed by authorized physicians.
