Turbulent time for marine insurance sector: Gallagher

U.S.-based insurance broker Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. said that it is a turbulent time for insurers and reinsurers in the marine protection and indemnity sector, Reinsurance News reported. The difficulties faced during policy years 2018-19 and 2019-20 have been compounded by the COVID-19 pandemic, as underwriting performance continues to be poor across almost all protection and indemnity clubs this year.
