Walmart Inc. is hoping those who are picking up dog food and cat toys will check out the retailer’s latest offering: pet insurance.

Bentonville, Arkansas-based Walmart on Thursday said it is launching Walmart Pet Care, a website that will sell insurance from Petplan Pet Insurance and will also link customers to dog walking and pet sitting services through Rover.com.

Melody Richard, vice president of Walmart Pets, declined to share terms of the deals with Petplan and Rover with reporters but said Walmart customers will get unique discounts and perks, according to a report on CNBC.

Customers can save up to 10% on insurance policies by going through the big-box retailer and will receive Walmart gift cards if they book pet sitting or dog walking through Rover, according to the news report.
