Cigna sued over refusing COVID-19 testing coverage
Posted On: Nov. 10, 2020 10:05 AM CSTCigna Corp. has been sued by Murphy Medical Associates for refusing to pay for members’ COVID-19 testing, the Becker’s Hospital Review reports. Dr. Steven Murphy of the Connecticut-based preventive and general health services provider has claimed that the insurer told its 4,400 members that he offers fraudulent COVID-19 testing sites and they would have to pay from their own pocket if they were testing there.
