Mapfre's premiums fall nearly 12% due to pandemic

Spain-based insurer Mapfre SA's premiums slid nearly 12% year-over-year to €15.6 billion ($18.2 billion) in the first nine months of 2020, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Asia Insurance Review reports. Net profit fell 2.7%, while reinsurance premiums grew 3% to €4.2 billion.
