Storms cause $1.2 billion in crop damage

Heavy rains in the last 10 days in the Indian state of Telangana have caused 86.3 billion Indian rupees ($1.2 billion) worth of damage to crops, New Indian Express reports. The rains and floods caused INR 2.2 billion worth of damage to roads and INR 5.7 billion worth of damage to the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation.
