Generali's office raided as part of probe

Italy's tax police raided the office of insurer Assicurazioni Generali SpA on Oct. 23 to gather documents in a probe related to the awarding of contracts to Generali, Reuters reported. The raid was a part of an investigation into whether Generali was awarded contracts in return for generous insurance policies granted to a series of top officials of state railway Ferrovie dello Stato.
