French IT giant suffers cyber attack

France-based information technology company Sopra Steria Group SA suffered a cyber attack on Oct. 20, which encrypted portions of its network, Bleeping Computer reported citing sources. A source familiar with the attack has told BleepingComputer that the Sopra Steria network was encrypted by Ryuk ransomware, the same group that infected the Universal Health Services.
