Liberty Specialty Markets promotes executive

Liberty Specialty Markets, part of Liberty Mutual Insurance Co., has promoted Ronald Bolaños to president, U.S. and Latin America, including specialty insurance and facultative reinsurance, the parent company said in a statement Thursday.

 

Mr. Bolaños, who previously was chief underwriting officer for LSM Latin America, succeeds Alex Montoya, who is now chief operating officer for Liberty’s global risk solutions North America division.

 

Mr. Bolaños, who is based in Miami and takes up the role with immediate effect, will be responsible for increasing LSM’s footprint in the region, the statement said.

 

He joined Liberty in 2012 and has worked in São Paulo, Santiago and Miami, the statement said.
