Munich Re logs another $950 million in pandemic-related claims

Germany-based Munich Reinsurance Co. expects its COVID-19 pandemic-related claims to total around €800 million ($944 million) in the third quarter, Artemis reported. The majority of the claims will come from event cancellations and property/casualty lines. The latest losses take Munich Re's total reserves for the pandemic to around $2.72 billion.
