Hartford Steam Boiler adds cyber cover for small businesses

Hartford Steam Boiler Inspection & Insurance Co. said Tuesday it has added additional coverage and services to its HSB cyber suite product for small businesses.

HSB, which is part of Munich Reinsurance Co., said its cyber suite now includes Cyber Safety, provided by San Francisco-based cyber risk management company Zeguro, which offers cybersecurity tools that help prevent cyberattacks.

Other additional coverages and service enhancements include improvements to a customer’s computer system following an attack to help prevent future losses; hardware replacement when appropriate to reduce the amount of the loss by repairing or replacing data equipment damaged in a cyberattack; protection against allegations of a privacy violation; and the loss of business income resulting from damage to a business’ reputation because personal information in its care is compromised.
