Munich Re unit names former Zurich exec chief underwriting officer

Munich Re Specialty Insurance, the primary insurance unit of Munich Reinsurance Co., has named Elizabeth Kramer chief underwriting officer.

Ms. Kramer was most recently head of technical underwriting, alternative markets, at Zurich North America. She will report to Mike Kerner, CEO of Munich Re Specialty Insurance.

Mr. Kerner said Ms. Kramer will help “scale” the business.
