Gallagher Bassett Services Inc. on Wednesday reported to clients and business partners that all of its communications capabilities are functioning following a cybersecurity breach in late September.

Mike Hessling, CEO North America of Gallagher Basset, the claims management unit of Arthur J. Gallagher, stated in an e-mail to clients and business partners that the company “has continued to make great progress restoring our systems” and that communications platforms, including e-mail, phone and conferences, and internal communications tools are “fully restored.”

Online claims management capabilities are also functioning, and Gallagher is “diligently updating claims files to reflect recent claimant engagement and activity” filed since the Sept. 26 cyber breach and subsequent shutdown of systems, Mr. Hessling wrote. The information will be accessible “in the next few days,” he said.

Following the breach, clients lost access to many system features as a result of the event.
