Allianz-led group in talks to buy Aviva's French unit

A consortium led by German insurer Allianz SE is in advanced talks to buy U.K.-based insurer Aviva PLC's French operations, Verdict reports citing Reuters. The deal could be worth between €2 billion ($2.3 billion) and €3 billion ($3.5 billion).
