Purchase would create one of UK’s largest brokers

Specialist insurance broker Howden Broking Group Ltd. has agreed to acquire U.K.-based commercial and personal lines insurance broker A-Plan Group Ltd., Verdict reports. The acquisition would create one of the biggest insurance brokerages in the U.K., managing more than £4 billion ($5.24 billion) of gross written premium.
