Lloyd's sued for nearly $140 million

Canada-based vacation rental business Wataga Properties Inc. has sued Lloyd's Underwriters for $180 million Canada ($137 million) for denying COVID-19 pandemic-related business interruption claims, CBC News reported. Wataga was insured under Lloyd's "all risks" commercial insurance policy, which provides cover for business interruption loss or loss of rental income. The attorney expects other companies to join the class-action case.
