Germany-based reinsurer Hannover Re SE expects property/casualty reinsurance rates will rise significantly at the January renewals, Artemis reports. The strain placed on insurers and reinsurers by the low-interest rate environment, large losses and the COVID-19 pandemic will promote the continued need for higher rates, Hannover Re said.
