Argo hires Markel exec for environmental role

Argo Group International Holdings Ltd. on Tuesday named former Markel Corp. executive David Corry as senior vice president, and head of its environmental business.

Chicago-based Mr. Corry was previously senior director of environmental and energy insurance at Markel and prior to that was assistant vice president at Chubb Ltd. for nearly 20 years, Argo said.

He will report to Marsh Duncan, senior vice president, U.S. operations, who oversees Argo Group’s environmental, inland marine and contract property/casualty lines of business.
