Alliant hires former Willis M&A insurance specialist

Alliant Insurances Services Inc. on Monday named former Willis Towers Watson PLC broker Larry Shapiro to lead its representations and warranties business.

Newport Beach, California-based Alliant said in a statement that Mr. Shapiro will be a senior vice president within the transaction liability group of Alliant Mergers & Acquisitions.

The unit offers services to private equity firms and alternative asset investors, including transactional risk services, private equity procurement initiatives, post-acquisitions account management and pre-close due diligence, the statement said.

Mr. Shapiro, who will be based in San Francisco, most recently was senior vice president within Willis Towers Watson’s mergers and acquisitions group.
