Lloyd's to pay $6.5 billion in COVID-19 claims

Lloyd's of London expects its members will pay around $6.5 billion of gross claims related to the COVID-19 pandemic, with around 40% of the total likely to be covered by reinsurance, Artemis reported. The 40% reinsurance cover will leave Lloyd's with net claims of around $3.9 billion.
