Brown & Brown of Tennessee buys Nashville agency

Brown & Brown of Tennessee Inc., a subsidiary of Brown & Brown Inc., has acquired the Frank E. Neal & Co. Agency of Nashville, Tennessee, Brown & Brown said Friday.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Frank E. Neal provides commercial, surety, personal and employee benefits insurance in the Southeast U.S. and specializes in providing surety bonds and commercial insurance to the construction industry.

Employees of Frank E. Neal will join the Brown & Brown of Tennessee team in Nashville under the local leadership of Ryan Rothrock, executive vice president of Brown & Brown of Tennessee, and regional leadership of John Esposito, regional president, Brown & Brown said in a statement.

Brown & Brown, based in Daytona Beach, Florida, is the sixth-largest brokerage ranked by brokerage revenue generated by U.S. clients, according to Business Insurance’s most recent ranking.
