Fire at closed battery plant in El Salvador

A fire broke out at a shuttered battery manufacturing factory in western El Salvador on Aug. 2, Industrial Fire World reports. Nearly 300 residents living within 200 meters were evacuated out of concern that the fire could spread lead contamination.
