Everest Re adds $160 million to COVID-19 reserves

Bermuda-based reinsurer Everest Re Group Ltd. has added $160 million to its reserves for claims and losses related to the COVID-19 pandemic for the second quarter of the year, Artemis reported. This is in addition to the $150 million hit that the reinsurer took in the first quarter for pandemic-related claims.
