QBE expects close to $800 million due to pandemic

Australia-based QBE Insurance Group Ltd. expects to report a loss of $1.1 billion Australia ($779 million) in the first half of the year due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Brisbane Times reports. The loss will be driven by market volatility and COVID-19 pandemic-related claims of around $600 million.
