110 ships carrying hazardous heavy metals abandoned

Malaysia has discovered 110 abandoned container ships carrying 1,864 tons of hazardous heavy metals at the Tanjung Pelepas port in the state of Johor last month, Bangkok Post reported citing Bernama. The ships from Romania and bound for Indonesia entered Malaysia illegally. Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man, environment and water minister, said that it is the biggest finding of its kind in Malaysian history.
