UK's ban of Huawei could hurt mobile providers

The United Kingdom's phased removal of China-based Huawei Technologies Co. Ltd. from its 5G network could hurt local mobile providers that have relied on the company's equipment for nearly 20 years, NDTV reports citing Agence France-Presse. The government order requires companies to stop buying new 5G equipment from Huawei starting next year and strip out existing gear by the end of 2027.
