Israel sues VW, Audi for more than $150 million
Posted On: Jul. 8, 2020 8:24 AM CSTIsrael has sued Germany-based Volkswagen AG, Audi AG, and local distributor Champion Motors Ltd. for $152 million over the diesel emissions scandal, Carscoops reports. The lawsuit claims that between 2008 and 2016, Volkswagen, Audi, and Champion Motors imported around 12,000 vehicles into the country with EA189 engine that came outfitted with software designed to cheat diesel emissions testing.
