Reinsurance rates to rise in double digits: Fitch

U.S.-based Fitch Ratings Inc. expects a double-digit increase in reinsurance rates at the renewals next year, Artemis reports. The rise will be driven by pressure from large property losses, increased liability losses, higher retrocessional pricing, persistently low interest rates and significant losses from the fallout of the coronavirus pandemic.
