Zurich to convert insurer into takaful company

Zurich Insurance Group Ltd. plans to establish a Shariah general insurance company in Indonesia by converting PT Zurich Insurance Indonesia into a takaful operation, Asia Insurance Review reported. The new Shariah-compliant entity is expected to begin operations by 2021, subject to regulatory approvals.
