Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. has acquired Meridian, Idaho-based Cunnington & Associates Inc., Gallagher said in a statement Wednesday.
Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Cunnington & Associates, founded in 2005, provides risk management, group captives, loss control, safety programs and risk financing services to clients primarily across Idaho and the Intermountain West, the statement said, adding the broker has a focus on the agriculture, construction, energy, health care, manufacturing, real estate and transportation industries.
President Greg Cunnington, Vice President Nick Cunnington and their associates will continue to operate from their current location under Jim Buckley, head of Gallagher’s Northwest Region retail property/casualty brokerage operations, the statement said.
Cunnington’s roughly 10 employees will remain at their current office, according to an email from a Gallagher spokeswoman.
“Cunnington & Associates enhances Gallagher’s Northwest presence, specifically in the Intermountain region, and expands cross-selling opportunities with our employee benefits division,” J. Patrick Gallagher Jr., chairman, president and CEO, said in the statement.
