Charles Taylor adds comp, Defense Base Act claims handling

Charles Taylor Insurance Services Ltd. has added workers compensation and Defense Base Act claims handling and medical management services to its offerings, the London-based claims and risk management firm released in a statement Wednesday.

The workers comp and DBA claims services will include medical case management and evaluation, cost containment, claims settlements, labor market surveys and investigations. The DBA services will be offered in the U.S. and overseas, and will deal with insureds in remote and hostile areas.

The new claims services will be overseen by Jane Hegeler, who joined the company in January.
