Former insurance regulator jailed 11 years for bribery
Posted On: Jun. 17, 2020 7:26 AM CSTXiang Junbo, former chairman of the China Insurance Regulatory Commission, has been sentenced to 11 years in prison for accepting bribes when in office, South China Morning Post reports. He has also been fined 1.5 million Chinese yuan ($211,758) and has had his assets confiscated for accepting nearly CNY 19 million in bribes between 2005 and 2017.
