Standard P&I to end Charles Taylor contract after 135 years

U.K.-based mutual insurer Standard Protection & Indemnity Club plans to transfer its management in-house from insurance management group Charles Taylor PLC, Seatrade Maritime News reported. The move, which ends a 135-year relationship between Standard P&I Club and Charles Taylor, comes as the protection & indemnity sector prepares to face a cascade of claims related to the COVID-19 pandemic.
