Insurers balk at paying COVID-19 business interruption claims

U.S.-based Financial Vanguard said that some Nigerian insurers have balked at paying COVID-19 pandemic-related business interruption claims due their interpretations of policy language, All Africa reports. Businesses have accused insurers of removing business interruption coverage from fire and burglary policies due to the fear that the claims could be massive should the risk materialize.
