CAC Specialty names Eric Joost EVP for tech, global markets

Brokerage CAC Specialty named Eric Joost, longtime senior executive at Willis Towers Watson PLC, as executive vice president and chief technology & global markets officer.

In a statement Monday, CAC Specialty said Mr. Joost will head up its technology and global insurance markets efforts.

He will be based in New York City and report to chief executive officer Mike Rice.

Mr. Joost brings more than 30 years of industry expertise over a wide range of insurance products, markets and client segments, as well as in-depth knowledge of bridging legacy platforms and new technologies across broking operations, CAC Specialty said in the statement.

Mr. Joost was previously global head of property/casualty at Willis Towers Watson, and prior to that served as chief operating officer at Willis North America Inc. Before that, Mr. Joost was a senior vice president at Allianz SE.

This is the latest in a series of high-profile hires by fast-growing CAC Specialty, which was formed by Birmingham, Alabama-based brokerage Cobbs Allen last year.
