Regulator mulls stimulus package for insurers

The U.A.E. Insurance Authority is considering launching a stimulus package to support the insurance sector amid the COVID-19 pandemic, Middle East Insurance Review reports citing Al-Roya. The package will include exempting insurers from certain fees including supervision and control, training and licensing fees. It will also include postponing the implementation of a resolution on reinsurance sector regulation.
