The European Parliament has suffered a cyber attack in which data of 1,200 elected officials and staff as well as 15,000 other European Union affairs professionals were released online, EU Today reports citing Politico. The files available online contain passwords, job descriptions and other personal information. The data also includes information of thousands of people with links to political parties and institutions, including members of law enforcement agency Europol, the European Data Protection Supervisor and the European Border and Coast Guard Agency.
