Mapfre's premiums fall 5% in first quarter

Spain-based insurer Mapfre SA's premiums fell nearly 5% year-over-year to more than €6 billion ($6.5 billion) in the first quarter, El Espanol reported. Net profit decreased 32% to €127 million.
