Czech Republic suffering catastrophic drought: Minister

Richard Brabec, environment minister of Czech Republic, has said that the country is suffering a "catastrophic" drought due to a lack of precipitation and increasing average temperatures, Xinhua reported. Currently, 80% of underground wells are in a state of mild to extreme drought, mainly due to the accumulation of the deficit in the last six years and extremely little snow in the past winter, Mr. Brabec said.
