Crawford & Co. names CEO, president

Crawford & Co. said Monday it has named Rohit Verma, who is now its global chief operating officer, as CEO.

In addition, Joseph Blanco, the company’s current general counsel, will become president, said the Atlanta-based claims management firm. Both appointments are effective May 15.

Both men are stepping up, with Harsha V. Agadi, who has been Crawford’s president and CEO for the last five years, transitioning to return to the board as director, said the statement. Mr. Agadi has served on the board of directors since 2010.

Mr. Verma joined Crawford in 2017 from the Zurich Insurance Group.  Mr. Blanco, who takes over as president after being with the company for almost four years, was previously managing partner in Atlanta for law firm Dentons.
