Liberty Mutual names global risk executive

David B. Williams

Liberty Mutual Insurance Group named David B. Williams to the newly created role of multinational senior vice president and chief underwriting officer for its global risk solutions operation.

Mr. Williams, who is Boston based, will develop and deliver enhanced data-driven and global risk-based solutions for mid-size large customers and the brokers who support them, the insurer said in a statement Monday. 

He will report to GRS chief underwriting officer for North America David Perez, who is based in Boston. Mr. Perez was named to the post in September.

Mr. Williams was most recently financial lines vice president for Chubb North America.
