AF Group unit announces promotions

Third Coast Underwriters, a division of Lansing, Michigan-based AF Group, has promoted Peter Vaughn to the newly created position of director of insurance operations, the insurer announced in a statement Thursday.

Mr. Vaughn previously was director of the Midwest region. Prior to joining Third Coast, he spent 17 years with Hartford Financial Services Group Inc.

He will be based at the company’s Chicago headquarters.

Mike Altman will replace Mr. Vaughn as Midwest regional director, also based in Chicago. Previously, Mr. Altman was senior development underwriter.
