Workers’ comp carriers told to prepare for coronavirus claims

Under Australia's WorkSafe ACT, insurers need to make arrangements for workers’ compensation claims should employees contract coronavirus while on the job, The Canberra Times reports. Public servants would be compensated for 100% of their earnings for the first 45 weeks they are unable to work, while private sector workers would be entitled to 100% of lost earnings for 26 weeks.
