Airlines could lose more than $250 billion due to outbreak

The International Air Transport Association expects annual airline passenger revenues across the world to fall by 44% year-over-year – or $252 billion – this year if severe travel restrictions remain in place for three months, Manila Bulletin reported. Airlines in the Asia Pacific region could lose $88 billion, Europe $76 billion, North America $50 billion, the Middle East $19 billion, Latin America $15 billion and Africa $4 billion.
