Preferred Medical names CEO, COO

Amy Wrightsel and Craig Towner

Workers compensation pharmacy benefit manager Preferred Medical has promoted Amy Wrightsel to chief executive officer, effective immediately, the Louisville, Kentucky-based company announced Thursday.

Ms. Wrightsel previously served as chief operations officer, a position she had held for the past seven years. She also informally served as CEO along with company ownership for the past few years, the company said.

Craig Towner replaces Ms. Wrightsel as COO. He previously held the position of senior vice president of operations.

They will be based in Louisville.
