Apple fined more than $1 billion in France

French antitrust regulators have fined U.S.-based Apple Inc. a record €1.1 billion ($1.2 billion) for engaging in anti-competitive agreements with two technology products wholesalers, The Guardian reported. The company conspired with Tech Data Corp. and Ingram Micro Inc. for aligning prices and limiting wholesale competition for Apple products such as Mac computers and iPads, but not iPhones, according to regulators. Tech Data has been fined €76 million and Ingram €63 million.
