Outbreak to hamper India's automobile production

Rajan Wadhera, president of the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers, said that supply chain disruptions as a result of the coronavirus outbreak are likely to "critically" hamper the country's automobile production, The Hindu reports. Many automakers in India import around 10% of their raw materials from China and the disruption in availability of these parts is likely to hamstring production across all segments including electric vehicles, passenger vehicles, commercial vehicles, three-wheelers and two-wheelers.
