Everest Re names new CEO of Bermuda

Bermuda-based reinsurer Everest Re Group Ltd. has appointed Chris Downey as managing director and chief executive of Bermuda, effective April 1, The Royal Gazette reported. Mr. Downey will succeed Sanjoy Mukherjee, who will become general counsel and corporate secretary at the group.
